Job summary

Island Energy Inc is seeking a skilled Hazmat CDL Driver to safely transport hazardous materials to customers around Vineyard Haven, MA. In this role you will perform pre-trip inspections, maintain logs, and communicate with clients during deliveries.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
• Clean driving record and strong safety focus.
• Experience with tanker or delivery vehicles.
• DOT hazmat regulations knowledge and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver hazardous materials in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logs
• Load and unload fuel or hazmat cargo using proper handling procedures
• Maintain and submit accurate delivery records, manifests, and trip reports
• Communicate professionally with customers during deliveries and address service needs
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal hazardous materials transportation laws
• Report vehicle maintenance issues and ensure equipment is in safe operating condition
