Job summary

MJ Tank Lines, a family-owned bulk petroleum transport company in Southern California, seeks professional CDL Class A Hazmat Tanker Drivers to join our growing fleet. You will deliver petroleum products safely and efficiently, using state-of-the-art equipment and adhering to core values of Integrity Delivered.

Responsibilities include load/delivery per procedures, pre/post-trip inspections, logs, and navigation of Southern California roads.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid Class A driver's license with Tanker and Hazardous Materials endorsements (X).
• Minimum of 36 months recent and verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience driving trucks with GVW over 26,000 pounds.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, background check, and drug/alcohol test.
• Current medical certificate with no restrictions.
• Must pass road test with company vehicle.
• Must acquire and maintain loading privileges at all Southern California terminals.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Adherence to California labor laws (meal and rest breaks).
• TWIC preferred but not required.
• Experience in petroleum transportation highly preferred.

Our drivers are responsible for delivering various petroleum products to our customers in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. Responsibilities

• Load and make deliveries in accordance with company and legal guidelines, including proper use of safety equipment and following established procedures
• Perform required pre and post-trip inspections
• Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
• Utilize onboard electronics, including ELDs
• Navigate Southern California geography and freeway systems
• Route around traffic and hazards utilizing maps and/or GPS
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and other related equipment as necessary
• Promote company Core Values and Integrity
• Work additional varying hours, which may include weekends, holidays, and overtime

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain a valid Class A driver's license in the state of residence with Tanker and Hazardous Materials (X) endorsements
• Minimum of 36months recent and verifiable commercial vehicle experience
• Experience driving trucks totaling gross vehicle weight (GVW) over 26,000 pounds
• Must be able to pass pre-employment physical, background screening, and drug/alcohol test
• Current medical certificate, with no restrictions or limitations
• Must be able to pass our road test with a vehicle chosen by the company
• Must be able to acquire and maintain loading privileges at all Southern California terminals
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
• Adherence to California labor laws (meal and rest breaks)
• TWIC (Transportation Worker's Identification Credential) preferred but not required
• Experience in petroleum transportation highly preferred

Compensation

$29.00- $41.00 per hour (depending on years of service and additional premiums for weekend work.)
