Job summary

The Maine Food Convergence Project (MFCP) is seeking a Local Food Switchboard Central Operator & Convergence Event Coordinator to manage statewide coordination of the Switchboard and lead Convergence event planning from concept to execution.

Reporting to the Coordinating Director, you will supervise two Switchboard operators, collaborate with community partners, and drive inclusive, accessible programming while coordinating sponsorship outreach and budgeting for Maine's statewide food system

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects, relationships, and priorities, including budgets.
• Ability to navigate complex systems and translate between different interest‑holders.
• Experience in event planning, logistics coordination, or program management, ideally statewide.

Responsibilities

• Lead event planning, logistics, and sponsorship outreach for a statewide Convergence held every two years.
• Develop the event format and sessions and coordinate presenters, speakers, and sponsors.
• Support communications materials and manage the event budget.
• Collaborate with MFCP staff to align program and statewide efforts.
• Participate in team learning and share insights to inform policy and program design.
