Job summary

Position Summary

As a Local Flatbed Driver with AMH&G INC., you will operate a flatbed truck to deliver freight to regional destinations while maintaining strict safety standards and providing reliable service. This role is focused on consistent, on-time performance and careful handling of loads.

You will be responsible for pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing cargo properly for transit, and communicating effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure smooth delivery operations. Pay is based off percentage of the load.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a flatbed truck, following all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.

• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting any issues and escalating concerns as needed.

• Secure and properly tarp cargo to ensure safe transit and compliance with load requirements.

• Maintain accurate logs and delivery records, ensuring all paperwork is complete and timely.

• Coordinate with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery schedules, route information, and any shipment updates.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CDL with a minimum 2 years experience.

• Able to pass a drug test.

• Strong understanding of safe driving practices and basic vehicle inspection procedures.

• Ability to perform tasks related to loading, securing, and inspecting freight.

• Reliable attendance and a commitment to on-time, customer-focused service.

• Live within 30 miles of Asheboro, NC.

Preferred Qualifications
