Job summary

Energy Transport Logistics seeks a local Class A driver for pick-up and delivery routes in the Laredo, TX area. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly rate and benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, and a 401k with company match, plus PTO.

You will work with dispatch to ensure on-time freight delivery and safety on every trip. Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, safe operation of the vehicle, documentation, and adherence to FMCSA regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A license and at least 2 years of verifiable experience.
• Must be 23 years of age and have a clean CSA score.
• Knowledge of traffic laws and DOT regulations.
• HazMat endorsement preferred.
• Ability to pass random drug tests and drive at night.

Responsibilities

• Safely pick up and deliver freight on-time within local Laredo, TX area.
• Operate a company vehicle and assist with loading/unloading and basic lift equipment.
• Complete required paperwork (bills, POD, manifests) and route documentation.
• Adhere to FMCSA HOS regulations and company policies.

Be part of our growth by joining Energy Transport.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSafely pick up and deliver freight on-time within local Laredo, TX area.Responsible for safely operating a company vehicle in the transportation of FAK over the road, while verifying loads for accuracy.Ability to work with assigned routes.Ability to adapt dispatch should there be a change in route.Maintain effective communication with dispatch team to ensure freight is delivered safely and on-time, or of any unforeseen issues that may arise during transport.Perform required pre and post trip inspections on vehicles and report any issues.Safely and efficiently operate lift equipment, for loading and unloading duties.Complete and verify all required backup paperwork (bills, HAZMAT, POD, manifests, etc.) are in order and dually delivered to the right personnel member, whether shipper, consignee, or Energy agent.Adhere to company policies and procedures.Adheres to company, federal, state and local laws, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) HOS regulations.Any other duties as assigned.COMPETENCIESValid Class A license.Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience.Must be 23 years of age.Clean CSA score.Must possess a basic knowledge of traffic laws & DOT regulations.Ability to pass random drug testsAbility to drive at night.Ability to lift 60 lbs. unassisted.Acceptable accident history.Hazmat endorsement preferred.
