Job summary

Energy Transport Logistics is seeking a full-time local driver for our Austin location. The role involves operating a company vehicle to pick up and deliver freight within the local area, following safety procedures and FMCSA regulations.

Requirements include a minimum of 2 years of experience and a Class B license. Hazmat endorsement is preferred, and CSA score should be below 28 to meet safety standards. Local day shifts and on-site work are available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely pick up and deliver freight on-time within local area.
• Responsible for safely operating a company vehicle in the transportation of FAK over the road, while verifying loads for accuracy.
• Ability to work with assigned routes.
• Ability to adapt dispatch should there be a change in route.
• Maintain effective communication with dispatch team to ensure freight is delivered safely and on-time, or of any unforeseen issues that may arise during transport.
• Perform thorough and accurate pre and post trip inspections on vehicles and report any issues.
• Safely and efficiently operate lift equipment, for loading and unloading duties.
• Complete and verify all required backup paperwork (bills, HAZMAT, POD, manifests, etc.) are in order and dually delivered to the right personnel member, whether shipper, consignee, or Energy agent.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Adhere to company, federal, state and local laws, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) HOS regulations.
