Job summary

US FOODS is seeking a Delivery Truck Driver to service the Bakersfield area with local routes, starting early in the morning. You will deliver meats, produce, frozen and dry goods to customer sites, load and unload using a hand truck, and verify deliveries with customers.

The role requires a CDL Class A, DOT qualifications, and a valid license; physical ability for lifting up to 80 pounds is required. Overtime may be offered with weekend time as needed.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with DOT qualifications required.
• Six months of commercial driving experience or three months in food/beverage delivery.
• Must pass DOT physical and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver best-in-class customer service and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Deliver customer orders to meet scheduled times and maintain productivity.
• Unload products with a hand truck and place items in customer storage area.
• Perform repeated heavy lifting up to 80 pounds.
• Make frequent stops during each shift and deliver in all weather conditions.
• Verify delivery with customers and collect payments as needed.
