Local Delivery Driver (CDL A or B) (Transportation)

Join Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. as a safety-focused Truck Driver in St. Joseph, MO, and contribute to making the world more productive! Responsibilities include the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders, hard goods, and related products along a local route, with loading/unloading at customer sites. Engage with customers to provide excellent service in a physically active role.

Key responsibilities:

1. Deliver products, making 10-12 stops daily, handling freight, completing paperwork, and delivering excellent customer service
2. Accurately record delivery and pickup quantities and styles
3. Prepare hazardous material shipping documents per DOT regulations
4. Conduct and report vehicle inspections before and after trips
5. Identify vehicle repair or maintenance needs
6. Build relationships with customers to meet business and customer goals
7. Enhance knowledge of Linde’s operations for organizational growth
8. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of driving experience or recent certification from an accredited Truck Driving School
• Valid CDL Class A or B
• Hazmat Endorsement preferred or ability to obtain within 60 days
• No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or violations in past 2 years
• No alcohol-related convictions in last 10 years
• Ability to pass DOT physical and obtain medical certification
• Ability to lift at least 75 pounds
• English reading and writing skills
• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Must be 21 or older
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to safety and integrity
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
