Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Cudahy, CA is hiring a Local Delivery Driver (CDL A or B) for first shift. You will deliver to customers with 10–12 stops per day, handle paperwork, and uphold safety and DOT compliance. A hazmat endorsement is required within 60 days or already held, and you must be 21+ with a valid CDL.

The role includes pre/post-trip inspections, maintenance flagging, and building strong customer relationships while supporting company growth and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Two years of consecutive driving experience or recent Truck Driving School certification with a valid CDL
• Hazmat endorsement required within 60 days of hire or already held
• Must be 21 years or older
• No major violations in past two years (accidents, suspensions, moving violations)
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain medical certificate
• Ability to push/pull/move/lift minimum 75 pounds

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers, 10–12 stops per day, complete paperwork and provide excellent customer service
• Accurately count and record quantities and styles delivered and picked up
• Complete hazardous material shipping papers per DOT regulations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Identify maintenance needs and coordinate vehicle repairs
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams
• Continuously learn about Linde’s operations to support growth

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day, while touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service
• Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up
• You are expected to complete hazardous material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT regulations
• Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance
• You will build both relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customer needs
• You will continuously build your knowledge on how Linde’s business operates and succeeds to help organization to continue growing

What Makes You Great

• You have a high school diploma or GED, along with proficiency in reading and writing in English
• You will have two (2) years of consecutive driving experience or recent certification from a Truck Driving School, along with a valid Class A or B CDL
• This role requires you to be 21 years or older
• You currently have a hazmat endorsement on your CDL or must obtain one within 60 days of hire
• You are expected to not have any preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past two (2) years
• No alcohol-related convictions within the last ten (10) years
• You must be able to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
• You have the ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 75 pounds is required

Pay range: $32.00 - $35.00 hourly, based on experience
