Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a delivery driver in North Carolina to support customer deliveries, unloading cylinders, and handling hazardous materials shipments. You will drive a Class A vehicle, perform pre-trip inspections, and ensure DOT compliance.

The role requires a clean driving record, passing a DOT medical exam, strong English reading/writing skills, and a high school diploma. You must be 21+, safety-focused, and able to work with internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements.
  • Minimum five years of driving experience with no preventable incidents in the past two years.
  • No alcohol-related convictions in the last ten years.
  • Current medical examiner's certificate or ability to pass DOT physical.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high standard customer service during deliveries and unload cylinders.
  • Drive about 30% of the day; handle deliveries, shipping paperwork, and vehicle inspections.
  • Accurately count and record delivered and picked-up products.
  • Complete hazardous material shipping orders per DOT regulations.
  • Placard vehicles according to regulations and company standards.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and arrange repairs.
  • Operate straight trucks, tractor/trailers, and forklifts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to meet goals.

What you will enjoy doing*
  • You are expected to provide a high standard of customer service during deliveries, including unloading products, moving them to customer use points, and reloading returned empty cylinders
  • Drive for approximately 30 percent of the day, with the remainder spent on delivery tasks, cylinder handling, shipping paperwork, customer interactions, and vehicle inspections
  • Accurately count and record quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up
  • you will complete hazardous material shipping orders in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations
  • Placard vehicles according to hazardous material regulations and company standards
  • Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, identifying and ensuring timely repairs and maintenance
  • You are going to operate various equipment including straight trucks, tractor/trailers, and forklifts
  • Regularly engage with internal teams and external customers to support operational goals
What makes you great
  • You hold a valid Class A commercial driver's license with tanker and hazardous materials endorsements
