Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Long Beach, CA is seeking a professional CDL driver who will deliver to customers, maintain safety standards, and perform pre/post-trip inspections.

The role requires a Class A CDL with hazmat endorsement (or obtained within 60 days), at least a high school diploma, 21+, and a clean driving record. You will lift up to 75 pounds and ensure DOT compliance while building strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; proficient in reading and writing in English.
• 2 years of driving experience or recent Truck Driving School certification; valid Class A CDL.
• 21 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers with 10–12 stops per day and complete paperwork.
• Accurately count and record quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up.
• Complete hazmat shipping papers per DOT regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Identify needs for timely vehicle repairs or maintenance.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers to meet business goals.

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day, while touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service
• Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up
• You are expected to complete hazardous material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT regulations
• Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance
• You will build both relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customer needs
• You will continuously build your knowledge on how Linde's business operates and succeeds to help organization to continue growing, plus other duties as assigned

What makes you great

• You have a high school diploma or GED, along with proficiency in reading and writing in English
• You will have 2 years of consecutive driving experience or recent certification from a Truck Driving School, along with a valid Class A CDL
• This role requires you to be 21 years or older
• You currently have a hazmat endorsement on your CDL or must obtain one within 60 days of hire
• You are expected to not have any preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past 2 years
• No alcohol-related convictions within the last 10 years
• You must be able to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
• You have the ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 75 pounds is required
