Job summary

PepsiCo PBNA is seeking a relief delivery driver in Knoxville to cover shifts when regular drivers are unavailable. You will drive, unload, stock shelves, and set up displays at various stores, following established routes or dynamic dispatch.

The job requires lifting 20–45 lb repeatedly, DOT compliance, and reliable attendance. Candidates must be 21+, have a valid CDL (or CDL permit with appropriate status), pass drug and DOT tests, and communicate effectively in English. EOE.

Job description

PBNA $30.45 / hour

Position fills in for delivery drivers who are not available for their shifts (due to vacation, illness, etc.). Routes for the relief driver typically change day to day. The relief driver delivers products to stores on an established or contingency route or via dynamic dispatch to customers, including convenience and gas stores, small supermarkets, and drug stores, across a wide variety of weather conditions. Responsibilities include driving the delivery vehicle to a location, unloading and bringing products into the store, rotating and stocking products on store shelves, displays, vending equipment, and coolers, building small displays, setting up promotional materials such as pricing signs and banners, generating invoices, and daily settlement of cash and charges. This position requires frequent interaction with store management and is labor intensive, involving lifting, loading, and pushing or pulling cases ranging from 20-45 pounds per case repeatedly during work hours, as well as reaching, squatting, and bending.

Basic Qualifications

  Note: In all California locations except Stockton, both non-excepted intrastate and non-excepted interstate status are accepted for this position. In Stockton, CA, only non-excepted interstate status is accepted.

Helpful Experience

• Operating trucks requiring a Valid U.S. CDL license (e.g., performing basic functions such as driving forwards, driving backwards, maneuvering in tight spaces, etc.)
• Merchandising products (e.g., filling shelves, building displays, making products look attractive on shelves, rotating product, cleaning shelves, or eliminating out of stocks and out of date products, etc.)
• Operating equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.)
