Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Co. is hiring Local Delivery Drivers in Long Island City, NY for full-time day shifts. Starting pay is $22.00 per hour with full-time benefits and weekly pay.

Typical hours are Monday–Friday 8:30am–5pm, with weekends and holidays possible. You will safely transport products to customers and assist in-store operations when needed. This role requires dependable, punctual individuals with strong customer service skills and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible retail hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

The Pittsburgh Paints Co. is seeking dependable and punctual Delivery Drivers to safely and efficiently transport products from our store to customers. This role also includes supporting in-store operations as needed. If you're a team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic.

Key responsibilities may include

• Transport products from our store to customers.
• Follow all safety protocols, including pre-trip vehicle inspections.
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve issues efficiently.
• Complete delivery documentation accurately and on time.
• Loading of material to the vehicle per PPC Standards.
• Support store operations as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Customer service skills with a team-oriented focus.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license issued by the state in which the position is based with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, lift and carry up to 80 pounds periodically and 50 pounds regularly.
• Available to work flexible retail hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and possible overtime.
• Ability to perform duties independently with minimal supervision and follow written and verbal instructions.
