Job summary

RCM HealthCare Travel is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a local contract position in Richmond, California. This on-site, school-based role offers 4 days per week during the 2026-2027 school year, with 40 hours weekly and a 13-week duration.

The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and related disorders, collaborate with educators and families, and participate in IEP meetings to support student success.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Valid California SLP license.
• Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide individual and group speech-language therapy aligned with IEP goals.
• Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine eligibility for services.
• Monitor progress and determine readiness for discharge from therapy services.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student communication development.
• Attend IEP/ARD meetings and interpret assessment results and recommendations.
• Provide consultation and professional development to school personnel on communication disorders.
• Maintain accurate records and reports per district/state/federal requirements.
• Assist with selection of instructional materials and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with district policies and applicable regulations.
• May supervise SLPA or Speech Aides as applicable.

Position Summary

RCM Health Care is seeking full-time or part-time Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) and Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA) to provide in‑person services to school‑aged students during school hours. In this role, you will assess, identify, and provide therapeutic interventions for students with speech, voice, and language disorders. The Speech Language Pathologist will collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success and ensure students receive the full benefit of their educational program.

Key Duties

• May supervise Speech Language Pathology Assistants or Speech Aides, as applicable

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited college or university

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid California Speech‑Language Pathologist license issued by the State Board of Examiners for Speech‑Language Pathology and Audiology (SBESLPA)
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Skills

• Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation, and rehabilitation of speech and language disorders
• Ability to administer accepted speech‑language assessments and interpret results
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively manage student behavior and create a positive learning environment
