American Traveler is seeking a Travel Respiratory Therapist in Lansing, Michigan, for a 13-week assignment. Responsibilities include providing care to pediatric and adult critical-care populations, performing airway management and utilizing ventilators. Candidates must have at least 2 years in critical care and an active MI respiratory-therapy license. The role includes working 36 hours per week on nights, starting June 29, 2026.

Responsibilities & Scope of Practice

• Provide respiratory and neuro diagnostics care to pediatric and adult critical-care populations.
• Perform airway management, ventilator management, medication administration, O₂ therapy, BiPAP, CPAP, nebulizer therapy, suctioning, and pulmonary toileting.
• Conduct O₂ saturation monitoring as part of polysomnography/sleep studies.
• Utilize Servo I and Hamilton G5 ventilators and Epic EMR (training provided during orientation).
• Follow hospital policies; no on-call or floating required.
• Support nights and every third weekend; no floating required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric and adult critical-care settings.
• Experience in Level 1 Trauma setting.
• Active MI respiratory-therapy license required by start date (compact license not accepted).
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and CRTT.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Proof of high-school level education.
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years.
• First-time travelers are not eligible.
