Job Summary
Physical Therapist contract position in Mount Olive, NC. 12‑week assignment commencing 04/20/2026, 40 hours per week. 8‑hour shift 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Flexible schedule and multiple settings (patient’s home or independent living facility).
Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Provide outpatient rehabilitation services in an in‑home setting or patient room in an independent living facility.
- Develop, deliver, and adjust individualized physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation.
- Identify and make referrals to other disciplines to address comprehensive patient needs.
- Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students and support personnel as required.
- Adhere to department and patient treatment schedules, timely clinical and billing documentation, and required meetings.
- Assist in promoting a safe environment and enforce elimination of fire and safety hazards.
- Order, maintain, and report on supplies and equipment.
- Educate and train patients and caregivers on skills and functions essential for independence and productivity.
- Conduct screening, examination, and evaluation, including history, system review, appropriate tests, synthesis, and interpretation of findings.
- Implement therapeutic techniques including therapeutic exercise, functional training, manual therapy, airway clearance, integumentary repair and protection, electrotherapeutic modalities, health and wellness, education on chronic disease management, fall assessment, and home / community mobility assessments.
- Design, fabricate, and fit adaptive devices, orthotics, and prosthetics; train patients in their use.
- Perform routine reexaminations to modify and progress treatment plans.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Specific Educational / Vocational Requirements
- Valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice or proof of license eligibility.
- Master’s degree in Physical Therapy, or Master’s in a related field plus a Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy, or Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience.
- Degree earned outside the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license or reliable, independent transportation to patients’ residences.

- Comply with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies, and procedures including the Compliance and Ethics Program, Standard/Code of Conduct, Federal False Claims Act, and HIPAA.
- Participate in required orientation and training programs.
- Promptly report concerns and suspected non‑compliance to supervisor or Compliance Officer via the Integrity Hotline.
- Cooperate with monitoring and audit functions and investigations.
