The concrete mixer truck driver safely operates a vehicle designed to manufacture, deliver, and unload ready‑mixed concrete to customer standard satisfaction. The driver receives directions and work assignments from a dispatcher or plant manager and makes deliveries to job sites with difficult and congested unloading points. Work hours vary daily according to customer demand. Additional duties may include truck and plant cleanliness, shoveling, and sweeping. A minimum of a Class B CDL is required.
Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment as mandated by OSHA and/or MSHA. Equipment that may be required includes gloves, hard hat, reflective vest, safety shoes, and seatbelt.

Valid minimum Class B CDLEducation and experience: High‑school diploma preferred or equivalent; or a minimum of one year of related experience or training.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; present information to customers, clients, and employees in one‑on‑one and small group settings.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and multiply and divide with tens and hundreds. Perform these operations with units of money, weight, volume, and distance.
Reasoning AbilityApply common sense when carrying out simple instructions; handle standardized situations with few or no variables.
Stress ManagementHandle stressful situations when meeting scheduled customer service demands and resolve on‑job complaints while making deliveries.
Driver License & Medical CardRequired to acquire and maintain a valid DOT medical card and a state‑issued commercial driver license.
Physical RequirementsThe role requires frequent sitting, use of hands, handling tools, and control operation. Tasks involve talking, hearing, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity for close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception is needed.
Work EnvironmentExposure to wet or humid conditions, extreme heat or cold, outdoor weather, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, and moderate noise. Conditions include hot, cold, wet weather and working with equipment and others.
