Job summary

Medline’s MedTrans division seeks a Class A CDL driver to deliver life-saving medical products to our customers. You will operate a tractor-trailer on a delivery route, load and unload, provide on-site customer support, and coordinate with dispatch to meet service levels.

The role requires a clean driving record, a minimum of 2 years of tractor-trailer experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Pay ranges $24.50–$35.50 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Load and secure product from Medline Facility into a truck.
• Safely operate a Class A vehicle between facility and customer destinations, following safety regulations.
• Unload and deliver product at customer facilities and provide documentation.
• Provide in-person support to customers and address questions during delivery.
• Communicate with dispatch to adjust routes or schedules as needed.
• Maintain travel and cargo logs in accordance with Federal/State regulations and company policy.
• Inspect vehicle to ensure safe operation and adequate fuel.

Job Summary

MedTrans is Medline's private fleet of professional drivers that delivers our lifesaving medical products directly to both commercial and residential customers. Our fleet consists of 2,100+ trucks that feature newer equipment. We manage a network of over 50 distribution centers nationally and provide 1-day shipping to 95% of the United States.

The Driver is responsible for operating a Class A vehicle to transport life-saving medical products to our local customers. The Driver plays a critical role in building positive relationships with our customers by ensuring timely, accurate, and safe deliveries.

Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Load and secure product from the Medline Facility into a truck.
• Safely operate a Class A vehicle between the Medline Facility and multiple customer destinations on a delivery route. Abide by Medline's safety regulations, including wearing safety equipment where needed, performing safety checks, etc.
• Unload and deliver product at our customer facilities, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Provide in-person support to the customer - addressing their questions and needs and providing appropriate documentation upon delivery.
• Communicate with dispatching team regarding necessary adjustments to delivery route or schedule in order to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations.
• Maintain a travel and cargo log in accordance with Federal and State regulations and company policy.
• Perform inspection of vehicle to ensure safe operation and sufficient fuel levels for continued vehicle use.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: N/A
• Certification / Licensure: Class A CDL; Licensed to operate assigned vehicle.
• Work Experience: Minimum 2 years tractor trailer driving experience.
• Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Must be able to meet all Federal and State requirements for the operation of commercial motor vehicles.
• Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Must have a clean driving record with no serious violations.
• Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Frequently move, lift, carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs

The anticipated salary range for this position: $24.50 - $35.50 Hourly

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
