Ben E. Keith Company is seeking a Local Class A CDL Driver Trainee to start on daily routes delivering beverages and foods with hands-on training toward a Driver DOT role.

This entry-level position emphasizes safety, efficiency, and accuracy in loading and invoicing, with growth into a full driver position. Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• High school diploma or GED with 1+ year related experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver product along assigned routes with multiple stops.
• Read customer invoices to determine items to be moved and delivered.
• Assemble customer orders for delivery to business locations.
• Maintain delivery time windows for each stop on the route.
• Maintain accuracy of delivered product with no damage due to mishandling.
• Obey traffic laws and follow established procedures.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Report mechanical problems and delays or accidents to bases.
• Maintain vehicle logs and records in accordance with regulations.
