Job summary

State Steel is seeking a professional Driver to prepare and secure delivery loads, inspect the vehicle using the DVIR, and follow planned routes to destinations. Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver's license (Class A for tractor-trailer or Class B for straight truck).
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• For straight truck drivers: verifiable experience or training.
• For semi drivers: 2 years verifiable experience driving a tractor-trailer.
• Exceptional driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and secure delivery loads.
• Inspect vehicle via Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).
• Follow planned route to destination.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Observe DOT/MCSA regulations, Hazmat and power equipment safety as applicable.
• Complete all other duties assigned.
