Job summary

Herman N Logistics in Wisconsin and Illinois is seeking a local intermodal driver. You will move freight between rail yards and customer sites with 100% no-touch freight and a slip-seating setup, keeping tractors at the yard during time off.

Home daily with daily trips to Chicago rail yards and opportunities to shift after six months. Earns include average $80,000 per year, plus a $10,000 bonus, and pay for miles, stops, detentions, and other qualified work.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum of 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• Ability to operate safely between rail yards and customer locations.

Pay

• Average annual earnings: $80,000
• Bonus plan: $10,000
• Mileage pay: $0.50–$0.58 per mile
• Drop-and-hook pay: $47 per stop
• Cross-town moves: $25–$60 per move
• Detention pay: $20–$25 per hour
• Additional pay available for qualifying activities, including hazmat loads, live loads, and other specialized work

Schedule and Home Time

• Home daily
• Local routes operating in Wisconsin and Illinois
• Daily trips to Chicago rail yards
• Potential opportunity to transfer to a preferred shift after 6 months

Requirements
