Job summary

Livestock Nutrition Center in Gonzales, TX is seeking an experienced Class A CDL driver to operate heavy trucks and trailers, delivering bulk and bagged feed to customers and maintaining strong customer relationships. Most routes are within a 200‑mile radius and drivers are home every night; safety, on‑time delivery, and professional conduct are essential.

Applicants must pass background and drug checks, be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, and work weekends on a rotating basis; familiarity

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 2 years tractor/trailer operation experience.
• Weekend work on rotating basis.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Clean driving record with no CMV violations in recent years.
• Must read and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver livestock feed to customers safely as directed and collect payment when applicable.
• Place delivered feed in designated locations per customer instructions.
• Transport finished goods and raw materials between facilities.
• Maintain contact with supervisor for delivery instructions and updates.
• Uphold professional conduct with customers and coworkers.
• Inspect vehicle and trailer for safety issues and perform basic maintenance checks.
• Maintain compliant driver logs and pre/post trip inspections.
• Plan routes and adhere to delivery schedules.
• Follow truck driving rules, regulations, and company policies.
• Operate loading/unloading equipment as needed.
• Report defects or incidents promptly.
• Adhere to safety requirements and attendance policies.
• Perform other duties related to truck operation and customer service.
