Job summary

REIC Rentals in Evans, CO is seeking a Class A CDL local-route driver to haul designated equipment and ensure the operator is familiar with the delivered gear. The role includes safe loading/unloading, and keeping detailed inspection records while adhering to daily and weekly inspection requirements.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of CDL driving experience, preferably in winter conditions and construction settings, with a clean driving record for the past three years.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL Driver's License is required.
• Minimum two (2) years of driving experience preferred.
• Experience driving Class A CDL in winter weather and construction environments preferred.
• Driving record clean for previous 3 years (no DUI, no major felonies, no reckless or hit-and-run).

Responsibilities

• Load/unload equipment safely and ensure operator understands delivered gear.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document results.
• Maintain truck cleanliness and ongoing inspections (daily/weekly) as required by DOT.
• Observe and report mechanical/safety issues and schedule DOT inspections as needed.

Are you a Class A CDL driver experienced with hauling heavy equipment with a local route and M-F schedule? If so, REIC Rentals in Evans, CO is hiring!

As a local-route driver, you will be delivering designated equipment and ensuring the operator is familiar with the delivered equipment. Our CDL drivers oversee the safe loading/unloading of equipment and record/report the working condition of delivered and retrieved equipment, ensure the truck is clean and has current daily and weekly inspections, and monitor and schedule annual and DOT inspections as required.

A typical day may include:

• Ensuring pre-trip and post-trip inspections are conducted and documented.
• Observing and reporting mechanical and safety failures.
• Maintain all required certification, inspections, and medical compliance.

Top candidates will have:

• Valid Class A CDL Driver's License is required.
• Minimum two (2) years of driving experience strongly preferred.
• Experience driving as Class A CDL in winter weather conditions and in the construction industry preferred.
• Driving record violation-free for previous three years to include no record of any of the following violations:
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance
  • Leaving the scene of an accident
  • Committing a felony with a motor vehicle
  • Reckless driving
  • Excessive speed

Physical demands

• Ability to stand/sit for extended periods of time and the ability to perform tasks such as walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling and reaching.
