Job summary

Staffmark in San Antonio is seeking a Local Class A CDL driver to perform nearby deliveries on a local route. You will operate a Class A vehicle, maintain compliance with DOT regulations, and ensure on-time delivery using dry van trailers.

Applicants must hold a valid CDL-A, DOT Medical Card, and be FMCSA Clearinghouse registered with a clean MVR. At least 1 year of CDL experience within the last 3 years and a clean driving record are required. Weekly pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license and DOT Medical Card are required.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registration and a clear MVR are required.
• At least 1 year CDL experience (within the past 3 years).
• No DUI, reckless driving, or serious violations (past 5 years).
• No more than 3 moving violations/at-fault accidents (past 3 years).

Job Duties

What You Will Do

As a Local Class A CDL you will safely operate vehicles to transport goods, materials, or equipment while following established routes, schedules, and safety regulations. You will perform vehicle inspections, maintain required documentation, communicate with dispatch or customers as needed, and help ensure deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time while maintaining a professional appearance and commitment to customer service.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods while safely operating a vehicle.
• Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift, move, or secure freight and materials when required by the assignment.
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections and work safely in varying weather and road conditions.

Preferred Experience

• Previous professional driving, delivery, transportation, or logistics experience is preferred.
• Experience operating commercial vehicles, delivery trucks, box trucks, or tractor-trailers is beneficial depending on the assignment.
• Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs), GPS navigation, routing software, or transportation documentation is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate dependability, professionalism, and a commitment to safety are well positioned for success as a Local Class A CDL.
