Job summary

Strong Ready Mix in Abilene, TX seeks CDL drivers (A or B) to deliver ready mix concrete to local sites. You will work with dispatch and plant management to ensure timely and safe deliveries, with a focus on customer service and load quality.

Applicants should have a CDL, be at least 25, and possess a valid DOT physical and drug screen. You will be home nightly and eligible for company-paid insurance and vacation benefits.

Qualifications

• Must possess a CDL Class A or B and pass a drug screen.
• Must be 25+ years old with 2 years CDL driving experience.
• Must have a clean driving record and safe driving skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Ability to work overtime and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ready mix concrete to local locations.
• Coordinate with dispatch and plant management to ensure good customer service.
• Receive delivery tickets and follow instructions.
• Position truck under batch plant to be loaded.
• Operate truck to receive a load and evaluate slumps.
• Maneuver truck on job site including attaching chutes to discharge material.
• Complete all forms, reports, tickets, and required paperwork.
• Prioritize safety per DOT and company policies.
• Operate ready-mix trucks per regulations.
• May operate front-end loader and assist in maintenance.
