Job summary

Medline Industries, LP's MedTrans division is hiring a local CDL driver. You will load from Medline facilities, secure cargo, and deliver to customer destinations on a daily route while following safety regulations and maintaining accurate logs.

This role offers home daily with local routes, newer equipment, comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with company match), paid time off, as well as growth opportunities within a nationwide logistics network.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years tractor trailer driving experience.
• Class A CDL; Licensed to operate assigned vehicle.
• Ability to meet Federal and State requirements for operation of CMVs.
• Clean driving record with no serious violations.

Responsibilities

• Encourage success of the local transportation team and act as a resource to drivers.
• Serve as liaison between the local transportation team and management– communicating goals to drivers and escalating information to management when needed.
• Load and secure product from the Medline Facility into a truck.
• Safely operate a Class A or Class B vehicle between the Medline Facility and multiple customer destinations on a delivery route, following safety regulations.
• Unload and deliver product at customer facilities, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Provide in-person support to the customer– addressing questions and providing documentation upon delivery.
• Communicate with dispatching team regarding route or schedule adjustments to meet customer needs.
• Maintain a travel and cargo log in accordance with Federal and State regulations and company policy.
• Perform inspection of vehicle to ensure safe operation and sufficient fuel levels.
