Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Austin Hills, TX to operate day cab tractors hauling dry van trailers on a local home-daily route. You will be paid weekly with $27.00 per hour and 40+ hours per week, including paid training and a 6:00 pm dispatch start.

Responsibilities include safe driving, keeping logs, following instructions, and assisting with loading/unloading if needed. Ryder offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and standards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist with loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
