Job summary

SRS Building Products - Columbia seeks a CDL Driver to safely operate commercial vehicles for local deliveries from the Columbia branch. You will ensure on-time, accurate deliveries while complying with DOT regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities include vehicle inspections, loading/unloading at customer sites, and maintaining delivery records. A strong safety mindset, dependability, and basic tablet/PC skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL.
• Current DOT Medical Certification.
• FMCSA Registration.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Must be 21+ for interstate travel or hazardous materials.
• Clean driving record (no hit & runs or DWI/DUI in last 18 months).
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance and OSHA safety.
• Basic computer skills to record deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Follow DOT rules and maintain a clean driving record.
• Inspect vehicles before/after trips to ensure safety and timeliness.
• Load, unload, and organize orders at sites to ensure accuracy.
• Understand and adhere to FMCSA regulations.
• Review purchase orders and delivery tickets to confirm routes.
• Report hazards to support job-site safety.
• Take photos of delivered products as required by policy.
• Keep accurate records of deliveries, inspections, and receipts.
