Job summary

Haffner's is seeking an experienced part-time CDL Class A driver to join our fleet department in the New England region. The driver will handle local pickups and deliveries, assist fleet mechanics, and perform diagnostic road tests as needed.

This role is daytime, Monday through Friday, with optional weekend work and local routes within a 150-mile radius. Requirements include a valid Class A CDL, ability to obtain a DOT Medical card, familiarity with DOT regulations, and experience hauling

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• DOT Medical card required or obtainable.
• Familiarity with DOT rules and regulations expected.
• Experience hauling/moving trailers preferred.
• Hazmat/tanker endorsements and TWIC card are preferred but not required; assistance available.
• Petroleum tanker experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Transport tractors and trailers to/from repair facilities, dealers, depots, and terminals.
• Perform road tests on tractors and trailers for diagnostics and quality control.
• Move trailers within the repair facility to assist shop mechanics.
• Support fleet and transport dispatch in movement of tractor-trailers.
• Coordinate with the fleet to build and maintain a working schedule; on-call availability is a plus.
