Job summary

Medline Industries, LP is seeking a Local CDL Class A Driver for its MedTrans private fleet to deliver medical products to local customers. You will build strong customer relationships through timely, accurate, and safe deliveries on a local route.

The Driver II position starts at $28/hour with home daily routes and a comprehensive benefits package, including health/dental/vision, 401(k), and paid time off. Schedule is 12a start, Monday–Friday, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 2 years tractor trailer driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Knowledge of Federal and State CMV regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and secure product for transport.
• Safely operate a Class A vehicle between facility and customer destinations.
• Unload and deliver products, ensuring timely delivery and documentation.
• Assist customers and answer questions at delivery sites.
• Communicate with dispatch to adjust routes to meet customer needs.
• Maintain travel and cargo logs per Federal and state regulations.
• Inspect vehicle to ensure safe operation and adequate fuel.

Job Summary

MedTrans is Medline's private fleet of professional drivers that delivers our lifesaving medical products directly to both commercial and residential customers. Our fleet consists of 2,100+ trucks that feature newer equipment. We manage a network of over 50 distribution centers nationally and provide 1-day shipping to 95% of the United States.

The Driver is responsible for operating a Class A vehicle to transport life-saving medical products to our local customers. The Driver plays a critical role in building positive relationships with our customers by ensuring timely, accurate, and safe deliveries.

Job Description

Our Driver II is starting at $28/hr

Schedule:

12a start time M-F

Responsibilities:

• Load and secure product from the Medline Facility into a truck.
• Safely operate a Class A vehicle between the Medline Facility and multiple customer destinations on a delivery route. Abide by Medline's safety regulations, including wearing safety equipment where needed, performing safety checks, etc.
• Unload and deliver product at our customer facilities, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Provide in-person support to the customer – addressing their questions and needs and providing appropriate documentation upon delivery.
• Communicate with dispatching team regarding necessary adjustments to delivery route or schedule in order to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations.
• Maintain a travel and cargo log in accordance with Federal and State regulations and company policy.
• Perform inspection of vehicle to ensure safe operation and sufficient fuel levels for continued vehicle use.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 2 years tractor trailer driving experience
• Class A CDL; Licensed to operate assigned vehicle.
• Ability to meet Federal and State requirements for operation of commercial motor vehicles.
• Clean driving record with no serious violations.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$24.50 - $35.50 Hourly

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.

Our benefit package includes health insurance, life and disability, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, etc., for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average.
