Job summary

Coastal Sunbelt Produce seeks an experienced truck driver to transport product from our warehouse to customers, delivering on time while unloading and handling paperwork per company standards.

The role requires adherence to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and strong communication with customers. The position includes overtime, overnight routes, and a commitment to food safety and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree, plus 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred.
• Commercial Vehicle Drivers must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway signs and signals, and make entries on reports and records.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports product from the warehouse to the customer location and ensures on-time delivery per route.
• Unloads product from trailer using hand cart or by hand as required, stores per customer specs and company standards.
• Picks up, loads and unloads damaged goods and returns, and transports items to the warehouse.
• Ensures all paperwork (DOT logs, inspections, maintenance reports, invoices) is accurate and submitted daily.
• Maintains food safety protocols in vehicle and warehouse, and prevents cross-contamination.
• Follows safe work methods and reports unsafe conditions to management.
• Operates equipment and communicates with customers; develops good relationships through courteous service.
• Reports route, trailer or loading issues to management promptly.
• Safely transports backhauls and line hauls and ensures timely delivery per standards.
• Works assigned schedule, with overtime as needed; attendance is required.
