Job summary

CR England Hershey account seeks an experienced yard jockey to shuttle trailers within a tight plant yard and on public roads to a neighboring plant. CDL-A is required; you must be 21+ with 3+ months of Class A experience.

The shift pattern includes four rotations, totaling about 3.5 days per week, all straight time. Equipment includes a yard jockey truck; you provide reliable transportation for the daily commute.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• 21 years of age or older.
• 3+ months of recent Class A CDL experience.
• Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, FSA, Life and AD+D Insurance.

Responsibilities

Job description

Moving trailers around a tight plant site is the core of this yard jockey role at the Hershey account. Most of your shift stays on the property, with short trips on public roads to fuel up and to shuttle trailers to a neighboring plant.

You commute to the plant each day, and a yard jockey truck is there waiting for you. It suits CDL-A drivers who like close-quarters maneuvering and want local work.

Day to Day:

• Shuttle trailers around a compact plant yard
• Run trailers over public roads to a neighboring plant
• Take the jockey truck out for fueling
• Yard jockey experience is a plus in this tight location

Shifts and Schedule:

• Four shifts, with one jockey on each
• You work 3 1/2 days each week, all straight time
• Jockeys cover each other's shifts when someone takes time off

Equipment:

• Yard jockey truck provided
• You bring reliable transportation for your daily commute to the plant
• Hourly pay

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL
• 21 years of age or older
• 3+ months of recent Class A CDL experience
