Job summary

Transervice Logistics is hiring a Local CDL Class A Truck Driver in Meridian, MS. Earn up to $2,245 per week, up to $116,740 annually, with 100% paid health care by Transervice, plus strong retirement and PTO benefits.

Daily duties include safe operation of a diesel tractor-trailer, bread product deliveries, and accurate load verification. Nights and overtime may be required; some evenings start between 4 PM and 6 PM.

Qualifications

• Two years of tractor-trailer experience.
• Verifiable Class A driver’s license.
• Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Drive a diesel powered tractor-trailer delivery of bread products to depot warehouses.
• Maintain a safe environment by complying with Company, local, state and federal mandates or programs.
• Report to work on time; overtime may be required based on business needs.
• Count and verify all incoming and outgoing product loads and returns.
• Load equipment from sale centers and document the equipment returned (dollies, baskets).
• Wear company PPE (safety shoes, bump cap).
• Tuesday and Saturdays OFF; nights required.
• Start time between 4 PM and 6 PM.

Key Job Responsibilities for Local CDL Class A Truck Driver:

• Responsible for ensuring and maintaining a safe environment through compliance of all Company, local, State and Federal mandates or programs.
• Drive a diesel powered tractor trailer combination and deliver bread products to depot warehouses
• Report to work on time when scheduled. Will be required to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime based upon business needs. May be scheduled to work extra days.
• Accountable for the proper count and verification of all incoming and outgoing product loads and returns.
• Drivers are required to load equipment from the sale centers and count the number of dollies, blue baskets and grey baskets that are being brought back on the trailer and document the equipment being returned.
• Required to properly wear company issued PPE up to and including safety shoes and bump cap.
• Tuesday and Saturdays OFF!!
• Must be willing to work nights.
• Start time between 4 PM and 6 PM

• Knowledge and compliance of FMCSR as well as State and/or Local DMV regulations.
• Record and maintain documents required by the company and DOT.
• Mental and visual ability to identify rack and/or container labeling. Perform repetitive tasks following specific instructions.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
