Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Jacksonville, FL with local home daily routes and a schedule from Monday to Friday. The compensation includes weekly pay, a starting hourly rate of $27.47, and 40+ hours per week with paid training.

Ryder provides benefits after 30 days, PTO from day 1, uniforms and boot allowance, and a 401(k) with company match after one year. Hazmat endorsements may be required depending on the account.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Pass Ryder drug test
• Background and motor vehicle check incl. drug/alcohol verification for last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate Class A CDL and endorsements
• Minimum 9 months experience in past 3 years OR 2 years in past 5 years OR 5 years in past 10 years

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards
• Detect and minimize safety hazards; maintain logs and records
• Load/unload freight or assist with loading/unloading as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
