Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A driver for a local, home-daily route in the Chicago area. Auto trucks and 53-foot trailers are used, with mostly drop-and-hook freight and occasional pallet-jack unloading. You will complete about two loads per day on a six-day schedule with night driving.

Qualifications include a valid Class A CDL, at least 3 months of driving, a clean record, and a DOT medical card. This position offers steady weekly pay and dedicated retail freight.

CDL-A Target Driver – Good Pay | Home Daily

Earn approximately $79,976 annually while delivering retail freight on consistent local routes. This dedicated position offers daily home time, automatic trucks, and mostly drop-and-hook freight.

Pay Details

• Average Weekly Pay: $1,500
• CPM pay
• Bonus opportunities

Job Details

• Deliver retail freight on local routes in the Chicago area.
• Longest round trip is approximately 91 miles.
• Complete a minimum of two loads per day.
• Approximately 95% drop-and-hook freight.
• Approximately 5% of deliveries require pallet-jack unloading.
• Pallet-jack unloading is paid.

Shift Details

• Home Time: Home daily
• Six-day workweek followed by a 34-hour reset
• Set days off may become available in the future.
• Night driving is required.

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of truck driving experience
