We are looking for professional, dependable class A CDL drivers who value a strong safety culture, top-tier equipment, and being home daily.## About the PositionYou will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a 53-foot commercial tractor-trailer to transport goods and freight across assigned local routes. This role serves as a key driver of company operations by ensuring strict adherence to DOT and federal safety regulations, maintaining accurate log records with an easy-to-use modern electronic logging device, performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, operating automatic transmission day cabs with modern safety technology, and delivering dependable service while upholding company safety standards.**Compensation*** **Base Pay:** $26.77 per trip hour* **Health and Welfare Benefits Pay:** An additional $5.36 per trip hour (Structured to maximize your earnings up to a maximum of 86.67 hours per semi-monthly pay cycle)* **Total Pay:** $32.13 per trip hour* **Pay Schedule:** Semi-monthly via direct deposit (on the 10th and 25th)**Schedule*** **Home Daily:** Local routes ensure you are home at the end of every shift* **Schedule:** 40-45 hours a week. Overnight shift. Between 6:30 PM and 5:30 AM. 2 weekdays off in a row (which will be discussed with the supervisor). Available on the weekends* **Schedule Adaptability:** Because our routes directly support the USPS, schedules adapt to real-time postal needs and are subject to change**Paid Vacation Time*** **1 Year:** 40-hours* **2 Years:** 80-hours* *Additional paid time off earned as your tenure grows***Benefits*** **Full Holiday Coverage:** All 11 federal holidays are paid for 8 hours each day* **Holiday Premium Pay:** In case you must work on a holiday, you will work your shift and receive holiday pay on top of your standard pay* **Comprehensive Benefits:** Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, Disability, Whole Life, Accident, Cancer, Critical Illness* Supervisor availability 24/7**General Requirements*** Full-time, in-person* Minimum 21 years of age with a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) physical* **License Type:** Class A Commercial Driver’s License (Required for minimum of 2 consecutive years)* **Clean Driving Record:** Clean Clearinghouse record and no more than 2 combined tickets or accidents within the last 2 years* **Tractor-Trailer Experience:** Matching one of these timelines: 12 months of tractor-trailer experience within the last 3 years *OR* 2 years of tractor-trailer experience within the last 5 years* Pass a company road test* Pass a drug screening and background check* Strong ability to follow written/oral instructions and strictly follow DOT laws, safety rules, and procedures**Physical Requirements*** Bend at the waist, kneel, crouch, and use steps to enter and exit buildings and commercial motor vehicles* Push mail equipment weighing up to 800 pounds (on wheels)* Open and close trailer doors weighing approximately 50 to 100 pounds* Work in high-temperature conditions, including temperatures inside trailers that may reach approximately 110 °F* Walk up to approximately 1 to 2 miles per day while traveling throughout a postal facility* Handle up to 20 large rolling carts or two 42-letter carts* Operate manual dock plates using a pole weighing approximately 15 to 20 pounds**Key Responsibilities*** Safely operate a 53-foot commercial tractor-trailer in strict compliance with federal, state, and DOT regulations* Proactively detect, report, and minimize potential safety hazards* Maintain accurate electronic logs and records using Samsara electronic logging device* Deliver excellent, professional customer service at all stopsFSR is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free workplace.
