Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Part Time Class A CDL Transfer Driver in Austin, TX. The role involves shuttle movements between Ryder facilities with no-touch freight and daily home time.

You will operate a commercial vehicle while complying with safety and DOT regulations, performing inspections and maintaining logs. Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check incl. drug/alcohol verification (last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide Class A CDL and endorsements
• Must have verifiable Class A tractor-trailer experience
• 9 months of experience in 3 years OR 2 years in 5 years OR 5 years in 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regs, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle per safety and DOT regulations
• Maintain logs and records as required
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state laws and company policies
• Identify and address safety hazards and perform routine vehicle checks
• Transport shuttle movements between Ryder customer facilities
• No touch freight with empty trailers for equipment shuttle transfer
