J Rose Enterprises is seeking professional Class A CDL drivers to handle local and regional grocery deliveries from our Chester, NY terminal. You will operate 48ft, 51ft, and 53ft reefer trailers to supermarkets and distribution centers, with slip-seat operation and daily home time.

We offer a weekly pay guarantee and additional pay types, with routes primarily within a 250-mile radius around Chester. Must have CDL-A and at least 3 months of recent experience; training is provided for NYC routes

• Ability to safely navigate multi-stop routes (15+ stops per week).

• Job Type: Full-time
• Salary: $0.68 - $0.74 per mile | $1,634 Weekly Minimum Guarantee (Must work a minimum of 5 days/10 hours per week)
• Location: Chester, NY (Must be able to commute to the yard daily; trucks cannot be taken home)
• Home Time: Daily

Additional Compensation & Pay Breakdown

• Stop Pay: $28.50 - $30.00 per stop (Multi-stop loads, averaging 15+ stops per week)
• New York City Premium: $62.50 per load
• Truck Move Pay: $50.00
• Detention Pay: $15.00 per hour
• New Hire Training Pay: $200.00 per day
• Safety Training Pay: $20.00 per hour
• Holiday Pay: $280.00 per day

Position Overview

We are seeking professional Class A CDL Drivers to handle local and regional grocery delivery routes operating out of our Chester, NY terminal. In this role, you will deliver fresh and frozen groceries using 48ft, 51ft, and 53ft reefer trailers to supermarkets and distribution centers. This is a slip-seat operation using modern automatic and manual daycabs. Enjoy the stability of a weekly pay guarantee and the benefit of being home with your family every day.

Route & Schedule Details

• Operating Area: Within a 250-mile radius of Chester, NY—including the NY Hudson Valley, Connecticut, and backhauls ranging throughout the same areas, including Pennsylvania.
• NYC Driving Policy: Only 20% to 25% of the freight delivers into New York City/Long Island. New drivers on the account will not run NYC routes until they have been on the account for 6 months or longer. Before taking solo NYC routes, drivers will complete specialized training with NYC-certified trainers.
• Daily Workflow: Drivers normally complete two short loads per day or one long load. You will pick up return product at your final stop or pick up a backhaul back to the distribution center.
• Equipment: Slip-seated automatic and manual daycabs. Trucks must remain at the yard during time off.

Qualifications & Requirements

• License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
• Experience: Must have at least 3 months of recent Class A tractor-trailer experience.
• Skills: Ability to safely navigate multi-stop routes (typically 15+ stops per week).
• Reliability: Must be able to commute to the Chester, NY terminal daily.
• MUST LIVE within 40 miles of West Haven, CT
