Job summary

Wooster Motor Ways, Inc. is seeking a dependable Company Driver for local pneumatic runs. You’ll haul freight on regional lanes, with home daily time and a clear pay structure that rewards safe, experienced drivers.

Starting compensation is 25% of line haul, with a 90-day increase to 28%. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, a 401(k), paid vacation, and six to eight holidays per year, plus HazMat certification support and straight-time pay for hourly work.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• HazMat endorsement preferred, not required.
• Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements.
• High school diploma or GED completed.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight on local routes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects or incidents.
• Load, secure, and inspect cargo; handle hazmat or temp-sensitive freight when required.
• Maintain accurate logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation (HOS etc.).
• Verify bills of lading, collect signatures, and ensure paperwork accuracy.
• Plan routes to meet pickup/delivery windows and perform basic vehicle upkeep.
