Local CDL A or CDL B Driver

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Driver, also called a Logistics Specialist II (with or without a Crane Operator certification), is to deliver building materials to customers or job sites. Deliveries are within a 200-mile radius of the home branch, with no overnight stays required.

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Lead job site safety by operating equipment according to local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
• Validate and confirm inventory loaded on the truck, compare purchase orders, sign delivery tickets, and verify addresses
• Conduct job site inspections, documenting existing damage and the location of utilities or obstacles
• Capture photographs of all delivered building products per company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Ability to load and unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs. each; forklift or Moffett experience is a plus
• Safe driving record with no recent hit & run, DWI, or DUI convictions; HR review for recent accidents or violations
• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations are a plus
• Experience in distribution is advantageous
• Proficient in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating in English
• Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Must pass a drug test, hold a current DOT medical certificate, and have no positive drug tests in the past 12 months
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and pass an E-Verify check
