Local CDL A or CDL B Driver

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Driver, also known as a Logistics Specialist II, with or without a Crane Operator, is to deliver building materials to customers' businesses or job sites. Deliveries are within a 200-mile radius of the home branch, with no overnight stays required.

• Home every night
• Earn a Safety Bonus
• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Lead job site safety by operating equipment according to local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Validate and confirm loaded inventory, compare with purchase orders, sign delivery tickets, and verify addresses and routing information
• Conduct job site inspections, document existing damages, and note the location of utilities and obstacles
• Capture photographs of all delivered building products following company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Ability to load and unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs. each; experience with forklifts or Moffett is a plus
• Safe driving record with no recent hit & run, DWI, or DUI convictions; incidents in the past year will be reviewed
• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations are advantageous
• Experience in distribution is a plus
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Pass a drug test and possess a current DOT medical certificate; no positive drug tests in the last 12 months
• U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S., passing an E-Verify check
