Local CDL A or CDL B Driver

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Logistics Specialist II, with or without a Crane Operator certification, is to deliver building materials to customers or job sites within a 200-mile radius of the home branch. Deliveries originate and conclude at the branch, with no overnight stays required.

• Home every night
• Earn safety bonuses
• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Lead job site safety by operating equipment according to local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Verify and confirm loaded inventory against purchase orders, sign delivery tickets, and confirm addresses and routing information
• Conduct job site inspections, documenting existing damages and obstacles such as power lines, sprinklers, and fences
• Capture photographs of all delivered building products in accordance with company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Ability to load and unload building materials weighing up to 100 lbs. each; forklift or Moffett experience is a plus
• Safe driving record with no recent hit & run, DWI, or DUI convictions; severe violations or multiple accidents may be reviewed
• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations are advantageous
• Experience in distribution is preferred
• Proficiency in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating in English
• Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Ability to pass a drug test and hold a current DOT medical certificate; no positive drug tests in the past 12 months
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S., including passing an E-Verify check
