Job summary

NIS EXPRESS in Texas seeks a tractor-trailer driver for a Texas-only regional account. Expect a 6 on/2 off schedule with home time about once a week, including day and night shifts and early mornings.

You will work with dedicated planners, enjoy familiar routes and repeat customers, and benefit from competitive weekly pay and a guaranteed first three months after solo dispatch.

Qualifications

• 6+ months verifiable tractor-trailer experience required.
• Runs on Texas hours of service.
• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card required.
• 21+ years or older.
• High safety score required; crash-free as a must.
• Clean MVR and background check.
• Pass a hair and urine drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer on Texas-regional routes.
• Adhere to Texas hours of service and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with dedicated planners to maintain routes and deliveries.

Every load stays in state. San Antonio drivers on this Texas-only regional account get dedicated planners, repeat customers, and routes you'll actually get to know, no out-of-state dispatch, ever.

Freight & Route

• 100% Texas fleet, no exceptions
• 80% drop and hook
• Dedicated planners, familiar routes and repeat customers

Schedule

• 6 days on, 2 days off
• Home once a week
• Day and night shifts, early morning driving expected
• Weekends off not guaranteed, holidays worked as needed

Pay

• Average weekly pay of $1,200 to $1,400, standard OTR mileage scale
• $1,000 guaranteed for your first 3 months after your first solo dispatch
• Driver performance bonus
• $15 stop pay

Qualifications

• 6+ months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience required
• Runs on Texas hours of service
• Valid Class A CDL, current DOT medical card, 21 or older
