Job summary

Conklin Metal Industries in Charlotte, NC is seeking a dependable CDL Class A Driver for a Monday–Friday route with typical hours 7am–4pm and home every night.

You will load, secure, and verify freight, perform pre-trip inspections, and operate forklifts as needed; no OTR, no Sundays, local deliveries to contractors and fabricators. Route supports a 5-day week with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and clean MVR.
• Able to pass DOT physical and drug screen.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Professional, customer-facing attitude as the face of Conklin on every delivery.

Responsibilities

• Local and regional deliveries to contractors and fabricators.
• Out by 7am, back by 4pm most days; 2pm finish on Fridays.
• Load, secure, and verify freight against bills of lading.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs.
• Operate pallet jacks and forklifts as needed.
