Contract Lumber in Blackstone, Virginia is hiring a CDL-A truck driver for local runs. The position offers a 1st shift, home every night, and pay between $24 and $27 per hour based on experience. Full benefits, profit sharing, and a 401K retirement plan are included.

You will load, secure, and deliver material, inspect vehicles per DOT rules, maintain paperwork, and communicate clearly with staff and customers. Recent grads welcome; overtime may be available.

Qualifications

• CDL A License is required.
• Ability to operate a Piggyback or Princeton forklift is a plus.
• Must meet DOT driving requirements and be able to lift up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Load, secure, and deliver material.
• Inspect delivery vehicles per DOT requirements.
• Maintain all required paperwork and check loads for accuracy.
• Ensure loads are safely secured before leaving yard or job site.
• Communicate clearly with employees, management, and customers.
