Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver for Sarasota, FL. Local, home daily routes with 40-hour weeks and weekly pay at $28.50/hour. Start time 6:00 PM with paid training and comprehensive benefits after 30 days.

You'll operate day cabs in a touch freight environment, handle 48'/53' trailers, and complete road tests and screenings. This role offers maternity leave, PTO from day 1, uniforms, boot allowance, and 401(k) with company match; refer-and-earn bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Provide valid Class A CDL and endorsements.
• Pass Ryder drug test and background/DMV checks for last 3 years.
• Pass DOT physical and Ryder road test.
• 9 months to 5 years of tractor-trailer experience as specified.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Detect and minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records/logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist as required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
