Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver to operate locally in Geismar, LA. This position features local home daily routes, weekly pay, and comprehensive benefits after 30 days.

Start times typically range from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM with 50–60 hours per week and paid training. Qualified applicants will have 9 months to 2+ years of verifiable experience, a valid Class A CDL, and the ability to pass drug, background, and DOT physical checks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
