Ryder System, Inc. in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver to deliver local, home daily freight with a schedule Monday – Friday (flexible for Saturdays) and start times around 6:00 AM. Drivers are paid weekly with mileage pay and a potential safety bonus, plus paid training and benefits after 30 days.

The role emphasizes safe driving, adherence to regulations, and the ability to operate day cab tractor trailers with dry van trailers across local routes.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• Experience requirements: 9 months in past 3 years, or 2 years in last 5 years, or 5 years in last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
