Job summary

Contract Lumber in Statesville, North Carolina, is seeking a CDL A driver for local, home-nightly runs. The role involves loading, securing, and delivering material, with overtime available as needed. Full benefits, profit sharing, and a 401(k) are provided. First Shift, Monday–Friday, 40 hrs/week with overtime potential.

Qualifications

• CDL A license is required to operate commercial vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and perform material handling.
• Maintains a positive, team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic.
• Training or experience with Piggyback or Princeton forklifts is a plus.
• Driving record must meet DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Load, secure, and deliver material.
• Inspect delivery vehicles in accordance with DOT rules.
• Maintain all required paperwork and delivery documentation.
• Check loads for accuracy before shipment.
• Ensure loads are safely secured before leaving yard or job site.
• Communicate clearly with employees, management, and customers.
