Job summary

Walmart is hiring a Local CDL-A Driver to operate in the regional metro area, delivering containers with 100% no-touch freight and nightly home time. You will work with daycabs on intermodal routes, often within a 150-mile radius of the yard, and handle multiple stops per load while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Shifts include night options; you can expect 55–70 hours per week and holiday dispatch is optional. Benefits include corporate health coverage, a 401(k), and PTO after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Card.
• Must reside within 25 miles of the dispatch yard.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• Hazmat Endorsement preferred but not required.
• Solid driving record and mandatory drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Handle 100% no-touch freight with live loads/unloads when required.
• Operate within a 150-mile radius of the yard on regional loops.
• Perform slip-seat driving of clean daycabs with containers mounted on chassis.
• Expect occasional 30–60 minute ramp delays for container mounting.
